Team Fundraising and Finance

Team Finance includes information and resources related to team budgeting, fundraising, and any additional expenses that may arise throughout the season. While CKHA provides the overall structure and program framework, individual team managers are responsible for communicating with families regarding team-specific fundraising initiatives, team budgets, and optional activities such as tournaments, extra games, or team events that fall outside of standard league requirements. This section provides the necessary tools and documentation to help ensure transparency, organization, and clear communication around all team financial matters.

As part of CKHA’s annual association-wide fundraiser, all players are required to participate in the Winter Raffle. Each player is issued raffle tickets through registration, with ticket costs already included in registration fees.

As the Team Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the collection of completed ticket stubs from your team and ensuring they are submitted in full and on time. Players and families are responsible for distributing tickets, collecting payment, and returning properly completed stubs directly to you. It is not the Team Manager’s responsibility to collect tickets from families, though you may be required to continually communicate with families to remind them.

Once collected, all ticket stubs should be submitted according to CKHA instructions for inclusion in the official raffle drawing process. Any questions or issues from families regarding the raffle should be directed back to you as the initial point of contact before escalating to CKHA staff if needed.
