Game Operations
Game Operations contains the tools, guides, and reference materials needed to help ensure games run smoothly and consistently throughout the season. This section is designed for team managers, scorekeepers, volunteers, and team staff who assist with day-to-day game administration. Resources may include GameSheet examples, score reporting procedures, roster guidance, scheduling information, tournament operations, and other league-related workflows. These materials are intended to support accurate reporting, organized communication, and a positive game-day experience for players, families, coaches, and officials.
GameSheet
GameSheet is the digital scorekeeping platform used by many youth hockey leagues to manage rosters, game scoring, schedules, statistics, and official game reports. Team managers, coaches, scorekeepers, and off-ice volunteers may all interact with the system throughout the season, making familiarity with GameSheet an important part of game-day operations. To help teams get started, we recommend reviewing the training resources and instructional videos provided by the Buckeye Travel Hockey League GameSheet Training Page (https://www.buckeyetravelhockey.com/coaching-resources/gamesheet-training/13989), which includes helpful guides for coaches, managers, and scorekeepers.
For teams that do not have access to a compatible device, please check with CKHA staff in advance regarding the availability of borrowing an iPad for game-day scoring needs.
Paper ScoreSheets
In situations where GameSheet is unavailable or cannot be used, teams will need to rely on traditional paper scoresheets to ensure the game is properly documented. It is important that these are filled out clearly and accurately, as they serve as the official record of the game when digital reporting is not possible. To assist with this process, we have included a set of helpful tips for completing paper scoresheets, as well as an example scoresheet that can be used as a reference for proper formatting and information entry. These resources are designed to help team staff feel confident handling scorekeeping duties in any game-day scenario.
