Girls Hockey
what this is
We are launching the first girls-specific hockey program within Lexington Thoroughbreds.
This program is designed to give players:
- More touches and reps
- The opportunity to play with and against other girls
- A focused environment to build confidence and develop
This is a supplemental program intended to be paired with your player’s current House or Travel team.
HOW REGISTRATION WORKS (IMPORTANT)

This is a no-cost registration to secure your spot and allow us to form teams.
👉 Step 2: Teams Finalized
Once registration closes, we will determine team structure and format.
👉 Step 3: Program Commitment
Families who choose to participate will receive:
- Full program details
- Final schedule
- Invoice for program fees
Program Structure
Combined age groups:
- 10U / 12U
- 14U / 16U
10 shared practice sessions
Flexible competition model based on final roster:
- Central Girls Hockey League (CGHL)
- Tournament team opportunities
- Independent games vs regional programs
Expectation
This program is intended to:
- Enhance development, not replace primary team play
- Provide additional reps in a girls-only environment
- Help grow girls hockey in Lexington
Cost
Estimated program cost: ~$395 per player
(final amount dependent on roster size and format)
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Example: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
