Announcing Tryouts for the 2024-25 Season with the Lexington Thoroughbreds!

Join us for spring tryouts for our 10U-18U teams, catering to all skill levels and experience, including competitive, travel, and house programs.

8U welcome back evaluations will be happening in August!

Important: We will accept 2023-2024 USA Hockey registrations for the tryouts. However, you will need a 2024-2025 USA Hockey number for team registration when team placements are finalized.

Please have your credit card available in order to submit payment to complete the registration process.

• A current USA Hockey Membership is required.
• Registration fee is $40.
• All players must register in order to participate on any of the teams listed below.
• Tryouts are for the following teams: 18U/HS Varsity, 16U/HS Junior Varsity, 14U A/AA and B, 12U A/AA and B, 10U A/AA and B.
• All players interested in playing on a travel team should plan to attend both tryouts. Attendance at one tryout is required for consideration or an alternative date must be scheduled with the director of hockey and coach for evaluation.
• All players should be fully dressed and ready for tryouts 15 minutes before their scheduled tryout time. 
• If possible, please have your player wear a numbered jersey. Players should also bring a dark and a light-colored jersey.
• 14U Players (2010 & 2011 birth years) must try out for either an A/AA or B team. There will not be a house-only option available for this age group. 
• 14U Players that are in High School and wish to try out for 16U/Junior Varsity/Varsity should select yes for the registration upsell - one for 14U and one for 16U/Junior Varsity/Varsity - and plan on attending both tryouts.
• Players will be evaluated by a panel of coaches, including Chris Lipsett, Director of Hockey.
