CKHA Spring Clinics & 3-on-3 Programs
We’re excited to offer three on-ice development opportunities this spring, designed to help players sharpen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the upcoming season. These programs are open to a wide range of ages and skill levels and are led by experienced coaches.
🏒 Spring Skills Clinic (April–May)
The Spring Skills Clinic focuses on individual player development in a fast-paced, skill-focused environment. Sessions emphasize strong fundamentals and game application to help players improve speed, confidence, and hockey IQ.
Key areas of focus include:
- Skating and edge work
- Puck handling and control
- Shooting and passing
- Small-area games and game situations
Details:
- Dates: April 14 – May 26
- Day/Time: Tuesdays, 7:15–8:15 PM
- Eligibility: Birth years 2007–2017 (younger players may inquire)
- Cost: $229 per player / $100 per goalie
🏒 Spring 3-on-3 Program (April–May)
The Spring 3-on-3 Program offers a fun, competitive environment that promotes creativity, puck touches, and decision-making. Smaller teams and more ice time help players develop skills that translate directly to full-ice play.
Program highlights:
- 4 teams per group
- 6–8 players per team
- Balanced teams with some movement for competitive play
- Team requests considered when possible
Details:
- Dates: April 16 – May 21 (Thursdays)
- Group 1 (10U): 6:15–7:15 PM — Birth years 2016–2018
- Group 2 (11U+): 7:30–8:30 PM — Birth years 2015–2007
- Cost: $199 per player / $50 per goalie
🏒 Thoroughbreds Pre-Tryout Clinic (March–Early April)
The Thoroughbreds Pre-Tryout Clinic is designed to prepare players for tryouts through high-tempo, tryout-style sessions. Practices mirror the pace and structure of actual tryouts, helping players feel confident and prepared.
Clinic focus includes:
- Skating (speed, edges, transitions, balance)
- Stickhandling and puck protection
- Shooting mechanics and scoring under pressure
- Passing and decision-making
- Small-area games and full-ice scrimmages
Details:
- Dates: March–early April (multiple weekly options)
- Eligibility: Birth years 2017–2007 (10U, 12U, 14U, High School)
- Pricing:
- $119 for one session per week
- $219 for two sessions per week
CKHA June Summer Hockey Camp
The CKHA June Summer Hockey Camp is a four-day, high-energy program designed to develop all aspects of youth hockey in a fun, competitive, and structured environment. Players will get a full day experience that blends on-ice skill development with off-ice athletic training to build confidence, fundamentals, and hockey IQ.

Monday, June 1 – Thursday, June 4
Daily Schedule:
- 11:30 AM: Drop-off / Check-in
- 12:15 – 1:15 PM: On-Ice Session #1
- Between Ice Sessions: Dryland Training
- Dynamic warm-ups
- Shooting room
- Plyometrics
- Speed ladder work
- Games and competition
- 3:00 – 4:00 PM: On-Ice Session #2
- 4:00 PM: Pick-up

This camp is built to support complete player development, with instruction and drills covering:
- Skating
- Stick handling
- Shooting
- Passing
- Small-area games
- Angling
- Overall hockey awareness and compete level
The combination of multiple daily ice sessions and structured dryland training keeps players engaged while reinforcing skills that translate directly to game situations.

Pre-Tryout Clinic
Get ready for tryouts with high-tempo, skill-focused sessions for players born 2007–2017 (10U–High School). Sessions focus on skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing, small-area games, and full-ice scrimmages to build confidence and compete level. Players can register for single sessions or combine days for extra development.

RegisterSummer Hockey Camp
Keep your skills sharp this summer! Our four-day Summer Hockey Camp (June 1–4) is open to players born 2007–2017 and focuses on complete player development. Camp includes two on-ice sessions per day, structured off-ice dryland training, and fun, competitive drills covering skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing, small-area games, and angling. This high-energy camp is designed to build confidence, improve performance, and keep players engaged throughout the summer.
Cost: $375 per player.
