Summer Dryland Conditioning
Take your hockey skills to new heights this summer with our exciting dryland summer hockey program!
Join us for this experience focused on improving shooting and stickhandling abilities, while emphasizing agility and conditioning for all players. Our coaching staff will guide you through targeted drills and exercises designed to enhance your skills and elevate your on-ice game.
Ages
Age groups will include the following:
Ages 8 - 12 (Birth years 2011-2015)
Ages 13+ (Birth years 2005-2010)
When
The program will begin on July 10. We will then meet every Monday & Thursday evening for 5 weeks.
Dates:
7/10, 7/13, 7/17, 7/20, 7/24, 7/27, 7/31, 8/3, 8/7, 8/10
Times:
Ages 8-12: 6:15 - 7:30pm
Ages 13+: 7:30 - 8:45pm
Where
All sessions will take place at the Lexington Ice Center. Spaces used to include gym, parking lot, & shooting room.
Why
Hockey is a game that tests your body’s mental & physical capacities. Dryland training is a great way to condition your body, while also getting stronger. The program will focus on developing power, balance, coordination, and agility.

About the instructor
Instructor: Gary Eastlack
Gary is the former Captain of the University of Kentucky Hockey Club. He has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, while currently obtaining a master’s degree in sport management.
