CKHA High School Hockey Summer Development
The High School summer hockey development program offers a comprehensive approach to athlete development, focusing on both off-ice and on-ice conditioning. Tailored for players born in 2010 and older, it provides a unique opportunity for our players who were part of the 2023-24 high school hockey programs to further hone their skills (available for senior graduates also!).
The program features group-led off-ice sessions conducted by certified trainers at CrossFit859 (Brannon Crossing) twice a week. These sessions are designed to enhance physical conditioning, crucial for maximizing on-ice performance. Additionally, on-ice skill development sessions are led by Varsity Coach Cory Day once a week on Saturday mornings, lasting for an hour and a half. This on-ice training is vital for refining skills and techniques necessary for success in the upcoming season.
Beyond individual skill development, the program emphasizes team camaraderie through organized sessions. Fostering a sense of unity and cooperation among players is essential for building a strong team dynamic, which can significantly impact performance on the ice.
Overall, the program aims to prepare athletes both physically and mentally for the challenges of the upcoming season, providing a structured and supportive environment for their growth and development.

Eligible Birth Years:
2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
Recent senior graduates must have been on a HS team in 23-24 season to register.
Must have current USA hockey registration in order to particpate in on-ice sessions.
WHEN
On-Ice Sessions:
Begin: 6/1/24
End: 8/31/24
Sessions are every Saturday morning beginning at 8:00am.
Off-Ice X-fit Sessions:
Begin: 6/4/24
End: 8/8/24
This 10 week session is twice per week on Tuesday and Thursday. Times TBD.
COST
Option 1 - Full Package $850
Includes 10 week crossfit and 14 week on ice clinics.
Option 2 - On Ice Only $500
Includes 14 week on ice clinics (21 hours)
Option 3 - Cross-fit Only $350
Includes 10 week session (20 instructor led cross-fit classes)
