TPH Fall Clinics Scheduled and Open for Registration!

It's time to get ready for the upcoming season! Total Package Hockey has scheduled their annual fall clinics held at Lexington Ice Center. Program descriptions and registration links are below. Follow registration links to view fees and schedules.

Skills and Small Area Games:

This program will have a concentrated focus on individual skills including skating, passing, stick handling and shooting. Your player will be exposed to curriculum that will cover all the key skills in the game, with high repetitions to emphasize key teaching points. Small area games will also be used and are a great way for your player to have fun while improving their all-around skills.

Hockey Skills:

This program will have a concentrated focus on individual skills including skating, passing, stick handling and shooting. Circuit training will be used to allow instructors to work with individual students. Groups divided up on ice based on skill.

Power Skating:

This program is designed for hockey players who wish to improve their skating technique in order to maximize the power and speed in each skating stride creating a more efficient hockey player. The main focus of this program will be on skating fundamentals. Circuit training will be used to allow instructors to work with individual students. The program will cover forward and backward skating, stopping, quick starts, technical skills such as, tight turns, bracket turns, pivoting, lateral movements, forward and backward cross-overs as well as balance and agility. Groups divided up on ice based on skill.

1-Day Checking Clinic:

Players will learn to feel more comfortable in giving and receiving checks and also to reinforce personal and opponent safety. Drills will evolve to work on angling and game situation checking/receiving. These skating skills help provide players the proper balance and agility to protect themselves while giving/receiving body checks. No matter the age, a good foundation of these skills and how to apply them with body contact is very important.
