Help Wanted - UPDATED 11/1

Our kids need your help!

We have many positions within the organization that need filled to make the 2016 - 2017 season a success. Your involvement is extremely valuable to the organization and to the success of our programs. As the old saying goes, "many hands make light work" - we have lots of work to do and need as many hands as we can get. Please review the list of positions and areas we need help in below and consider volunteering for the benefit or our association and your child!

  • Fundraiser Coordinator (Board appointed) - The Fundraiser Coordinator is responsible to organize volunteer members for various organizational events, games, etc. The Fundraiser Coordinator will identify and coordinate fundraiser opportunities, track the volunteer hours per family, and report to the results to the Treasurer.  The Fundraiser Coordinator will attend monthly Board meetings during odd months (January, March, May, etc).  This is a 12-month position, re-appointed on an annual basis.
  • Equipment Supervisor (Board appointed) – The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for keeping an inventory of equipment owned by CKHA, coordinating distribution of equipment, managing the storage of equipment, and advising the Board of equipment purchasing needs.  The Equipment Supervisor will attend monthly Board meetings during even months (February, April, June etc).  This is a 12-month position, re-appointed on an annual basis.
  • MYHL Team Manager (Mites 8U – 2 TOTAL) - Team Managers shall be responsible for assisting the team coaches in communicating information to the players and parents. As an appointed position by the CKHA Board of Directors, you are a representative of the general hockey public, working in the best interest of the entire youth organization on behalf of the association’s board.  There will be one Team Manager per MYHL Team. FILLED
  • MYHL Team Manager (Squirts 10U – 2 TOTAL) - Team Managers shall be responsible for assisting the team coaches in communicating information to the players and parents. As an appointed position by the CKHA Board of Directors, you are a representative of the general hockey public, working in the best interest of the entire youth organization on behalf of the association’s board.  There will be one Team Manager per MYHL Team. 
  •  MYHL Team Manager (Peewee 12U – 1 TOTAL) - Team Managers shall be responsible for assisting the team coaches in communicating information to the players and parents. As an appointed position by the CKHA Board of Directors, you are a representative of the general hockey public, working in the best interest of the entire youth organization on behalf of the association’s board.  There will be one Team Manager per MYHL Team.FILLED
  • MYHL Team Manager (Bantam 14U – 1 TOTAL) - Team Managers shall be responsible for assisting the team coaches in communicating information to the players and parents. As an appointed position by the CKHA Board of Directors, you are a representative of the general hockey public, working in the best interest of the entire youth organization on behalf of the association’s board.  There will be one Team Manager per MYHL Team.FILLED
  • CKHA Team Picture Coordinator - This position’s role is to coordinate setup and organize the season’s team pictures.  The CKHA Team Picture Coordinator will coordinate pictures with vendor, coordinate and the available dates, costs and options to the board for final approval, set dates and communicate details in conjunction with the Team Manager Coordinator and Team Managers, and ensure proper delivery of products to each Team Manager for delivery FILLED
  • CKHA Social Media Coordinator - This position’s role is to coordinate social media for CKHA.  The Social Media Coordinator will review CKHAs Social Media policy and make update recommendations to the Board as needed.  In addition, the Social Media Coordinator will create compelling and dynamic content that will build and sustain awareness about CKHA and Youth Hockey in general using key social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs.  The Social Media Coordinator will attend monthly Board meetings during odd months (January, March, May, etc.).  This is a 12-month position, re-appointed on an annual basis.
  • CKHA Action Photographer – This position’s role is for the coordination of taking and distributing of action photos of CKHA players and teams during game and/or practice.  This will involve all CKHA level teams from U8 (Mite) to U14 (Bantam). FILLED
  • CKHA Uniform Manager – (Board appointed) – The Uniform Manager is responsible for keeping an inventory of uniforms owned by CKHA, coordinating the ordering and distribution of new uniforms, tracking of uniform numbers, and maintaining contact with our uniform distributor.  The Uniform Manager will attend monthly Board meetings during even months (February, April, June etc).  This is a 12-month position, re-appointed on an annual basis.
